Here we see Eli warm in his Russian style wool jacket. The temperature was roughly in the 60's. Eli helps set up camp.
The sun was setting so the lamp was to be set up. He did a good job with that.

After the first night we headed over to a secret warehouse. Where we sharpened our axe. That's not all we did there.

When something is secret it becomes more interesting. I am drawing your attention by telling you it is a secret location. I could just be making it up for the sake of interest.....or not....

Eli and Joe are scanning the area in the foreground while Matt breaks into the secret warehouse......All this while I take a pictures of the crime.

To cut logs one needs a sharp axe and a strong arm(s). Matt has one of two.

There he is again sprinkling sparks sharpening the axe.

Eli tried to making away with this small tree. But the forces of the enchanting land would not allow him.

Joe the boy Scout America Kept our fires lit even in the cold morning. Around his neck he has a Jews Harp, Joe kept us well entertained with his music as well.

When Joe was not lighting fires he was fighting bears...........

Joe brought his coffee making kettle. It was the first time I had used this piece of scientific engineering to make coffee. In the top goes the coffee powder. When the water boils it rises through the straw into bowl in the top, channels through the coffee and back into the kettle. We enjoyed many warm cups of coffee made by Joe and his kettle.

with his sharpened axe Matt A former Boy Scout cuts away at this log. Matt made sure the fire kept lit.

The all two days Matt spent most of the time chopping wood and making bad jokes. He was a great asset.
Both Joe and Matt had incredibly warm moccasins. I am sure Eli was as jealous of them as I was.

Here is some of his handy work. Some nice cross grain strokes.

There were wood ships all over;In my sleeping bag, in the food, in the tent, in truck, and In the coffee. Not to mention the small pile of wood chips that accumulated on Eli.

Matt taking a small break.

A picture of a metal sculpture. I did not take the time to flip the image. It looked better side ways.

Antiques from the antique store. On the way back home.

Eli wondered how much it cost. whatever it was he wanted it. It was a little out of his price range.

This is a picture of who knows what, but it looks nice and that's what counts.
